2009 SEASON 1 – GRAND FINAL – BLUES WIN
May 09 2009

The Season 1 Grand Final was played at Patana last Saturday, the blues had a strong 3rd qtr to give them enough breathing space to hold on by a couple of goals in what was a high scoring, good quality game all around. Game summary, goal kickers, best players etc to follow.

Saturday night saw the end of season presentation evening held at Witches and congratulations go to the following Tigers:-

· Season 1 2009 F&B – Brett Stone (Stoney)

· Season 1 2009 Leading Goal Kicker – Michael Sammons (Sammo)

TIGERS TRAINING
The next kick is on the 30th May at 2:30pm at Patana, we shall announce further training/game dates which will continue up until the Asian Champs (5th Sept in KL).

Tigers Vs Singapore – 27th June at Horseshoe Point
We have a game against the Singapore Wombats in Pattaya on the 26th & 27th June. Unfortunately there is not a lot of notice on the room bookings due to a conference that weekend so can everyone get back to andy@intrepidthailand.com by Friday 22nd May? MORE >

Request for Assistance !!! – A negative Blood needed
On the weekend, a good friend of Nuch and Coxey learnt their 9 year old daughter has Leukemia, she has already started treatment and requires A(negative) blood. Any Tiger with A(-) and is willing to donate blood could you please contact Nuch at andrewc@paradigmgeo.com ….. Thanks.

NETBALL NEWS

The netballers are heading up to Laos this weekend to play against Laos girls on Saturday - best of luck to the touring team!

Tigers netball are also fielding a team at next weekend's South East Asian International Tourney, hosted by the Southerners at NIST. Head down to Sukhumvit Soi 15 to watch the girls battle it out against the likes of Hanoi, Singapore, Hong Kong, Bali, Southerners & Patana! Action starts at 9am and goes til 4pm, Saturday 23rd May. Snacks & refreshments available. Party on with the girls afterwards at Coyotes on Convent from 7.30pm - cost is 900bt for free-flow drinks, Mexican food throughout the night & door prizes.

AIT Quiz Night – 30th May
It's that time of year again for the Australians In Thailand Famous Quiz Night, The Thailand Tigers are looking to get a couple of tables together and perhaps dress up and have a fun night out. If you are interested in going, please email Claire ASAP on clairerise@hotmail.com to reserve a spot.

The AIT goes to the Beach Quiz Night 2009 is happening on Saturday 30th May. So dust off your Budgie Smuggler's and Bikini's and join us at the Westin Grande Sukhumvit. Surfs up at 6.30pm for nibbles followed by the Quiz and a Buffet Dinner. There is a full cash bar service available and you can BYO (wine only) with no corkage charge. The cost is just 1,000 baht for Members and 1,300 baht for non-Members. If you membership needs renewing you can do it on the night and if you are not a Member you can join. As per usual there will be a Raffle of fantastic prizes donated by our sponsors plus prizes for the First and Second places in the Quiz, wooden spoon (can the Black Swan make it a hat trick?), best dressed table and other spot prizes.
