Gaelic Football Tour to Khon Kaen – Saturday 27th Feb
The GAA, the G stands for ‘Gaelic’, and despite perceptions, the last A is not ‘anonymous’. In fact our cousins from the Gaelic football club are anything but anonymous. They are a passionate club of great people, who we share more than just a few on and off field backgrounds to ignore. We all got another goodhearted dose a couple weeks ago at ‘our’ Australia Day event.
Well, our cousins have taken the initiative and booked an early international against :
The Laos Elephants
Location: Khon Kaen University
Date: Feb 27, 2016.
The guys have kindly asked if any of the Tigers would like to attend and play.
If anyone is keen, then follow the link below for booking details and travel itinerary, or contact Yorky for more details. 0898139020
It’s bound to be a great weekend, and the Tigers have that weekend off, so if people are looking for a great road trip to a north-eastern Thai city with our northern hemisphere Celtic kin, then get amongst it.
We will also be scheduling a couple more match days with the GAA to build on the camaraderie from Australia Day.
The GAA train at NIST on Tuesday nights, which clash with us, but we’ll be joining them over the year for a few sessions.
They also do a structured track session at National Stadium on Thursday evenings – that Tigers are welcome to join for free.
Games – the GAA play at 7amon Saturday mornings, at NIST,
In case any of us are needing a pre-match workout, or on days we have a bye.
We are looking forward to a year of ongoing cooperation with the Gaelic guys and gals, so get around it Tigers.
